MOYCARKEY BORRIS GAA CLUB NOTES 29/07/18

Senior Club Fixtures

Our Intermediate footballers  play Moyne/Templeuohy this Saturday 4th August at 7.30 in Templetuohy.

Our Junior B footballers  team play Moyne/Templetuohy  this Sunday morning at 12am in Templetuohy.

Juvenile fixtures

Our under 14 team play Holycross next Tuesday 7t August in Mid Semi Final at 8.15 in Holycross. All support appreciated.

Best of luck to our under 13  team who are competing for The Sweeney cup this Saturday in Lisdowney at the 7s competition. They are playing Harps at12 noon and we wish them every success.

Our under 16 team played Upperchurch last Monday evening and unfortanetly one of our players picked up a serious injury. We would like to wish Cillian a speedy recovery

 

Harry Ryan Tournament

Our annual Harry Ryan Tournament will take place Saturday 18th August at 2pm in Littleton.

Moycarkey Borris Ladies Football and Camoige Club.

 Best wishes to our under 16 camoige team who play Templemore in the final of the under 16C Summer League. The match takes place in the ragg pitch at 7.15 this Thursday evening.All support appreciated.

Congratulations to our under 13 camoige team who defeated Cahir in the semi final of the summer league. Our 14 football team also played two matchs this week where they defeated Thurles Sarsfields and lost to a very strong Boherlahan team.

U 14 ladies football Second team had a great win over Silvermines in their second group league match.  Many thanks to Tipperary senior camogie star Cait Devane for taking our U12 camogie panel for a training session on Saturday last. 

Charity Cycle.

H&MV engineering  organised a charity cycle for the Irish Guide dogs for the blind  last  Saturday 28th July departing from the Horse and Jockey Hotel. The cycle was a hugh success and  was well represented by our club members on the day. We would like to thank everyone that participated and that helped with the organisation and stewarding of the event.

County Minor Hurling

Commiserations to Kevin Hayes, Darren Flood , Max Hackett and Jack Morrissey who lost out to Kilkenny in the All Ireland semi final in Croke Park last Sunday. Its was a great achievement for the club to have four boys representing the parish at county level and the boys can be very proud of their achievements to date.

All Ireland Poc Fada Finals

Best wishes to Kyle Shelly who is representing Munster this Saturday morning in the Long Puck All Ireland Final. Kyle will make the long journey to the Cooley Mountains where he will compete against the other 3 provincial winners.
