MOYCARKEY BORRIS GAA CLUB NOTES 02/09/18

Senior Club Fixtures

Our senior hurlers had a well deserved win over neighbours  Holycross Ballycahill in  the Seamus O Riain clash on Saturday evening which puts Moycarkey top of their group.It was a tough competitive affair with some excellent displays from the Moycarkey boys.Final score Moycarkey 2.19 Holycross Ballycahill 1.17.

Juvenile fixtures

Our under 16 team played  Gortnahoe in the Mid Semi Final  Wednesday evening in Littleton.After a great start they held out to book a place in the Mid Final.

Moycarkey faced Boherlahan in Boherlahan last Saturday but with out their full squad it wasn’t going to be easy.They fought hard and with some great hurling went in at half time 3 points up.However the momentum changed in the second half and Boherlahan upped their game to win by 2 points.

Our under 11 teams lost to Gortnahoe this week while our 13 team beat Drom in the Shield competition.

Moycarkey Borris Ladies Football and Camoige Club.

Our 19 girls lost to Silvermines and our Junior Football team also lost out to Lattin Cullen this week

Congratulations to our under 11 ladies football team that won the u11A football final defeating Galtee Roves by 2.05 to 1.04.Our under 12 camoige first team beat Eire og Annacarty while our second team were narrowly defeated by Knockavilla in the latest league matchs.

Congratulatons also to our Under 16 team who won the county final against Ardfinnan on a scoreline of 5.11 to 2.07.Led by captain Enya Maher they got off to a great start against the wind.The girls fought hard and played some excellent football and were deserving winners in the end.

 

Moycarkey Borris Lip Sync Battle

 

Thanks to everyone that supported our Lip Sync registration night in Conjuntion with Tipp FMs Eamonn o Dwyer. It was a great success and now that the acts are finalized its time to up the gear and start practicing for our big night in the Dome.Keep Saturday  27th October free for what promises to be a great night.
