MOYCARKEY BORRIS GAA CLUB NOTES 14/10/18

Senior Club Fixtures

Our minors had a famous win  in the County Final of the  Tipperary Water Minor A Championship  against  Cappa/Gaels on Saturday. The match was a tough physical battle in desperate conditions with nothing between the two sides. Moycarkey went in at half time a goal up to their advantage. They went 6 up mid way through the second half but with less than 10 minutes remaining Cappa got a goal from a free followed by a point from play to leave two between the teams with 5 minutes to go. Moycarkey dug deep and fought hard for every ball and after another point it was relief and jubilation when the final whistle was blown. The  final score was 2.12 to 1.12 in favor of Moycarkey. Max Hackett accepted the cup on behalf of the team in front of a large Moycarkey following. A fantastic achievement for  the boys managaement  and the club.

The Seamus o Riain Cup Final against Burgess is this Sunday at 1.30  in Semple Stadium. This is a great achievement for the team and we wish the panel and management the best of luck. Flags are available in the local shops so please get behind the lads and bring a bit of color to the stadium.
