Harry Ryan Tournament

posted 4 Jul 2011, 15:31 by Unknown user
Saturday next 9th of July is the day that has been spoken about & planned for quite a while in our Juvenile Club.

The Ryan family have generously put forward a beautiful cup in the memory of Harry. There is an u16 hurling tournament being played for this prestigious honour. It will begin @ 2pm. Teams taking part on the day are Clonoulty Rossmore, Borrisoleigh, Kilruane Mac Donaghs, Galmoy/Windgap, Na Piarsaigh, Limerick & Moycarkey Borris.

Harry always had a huge interest in the Juvenile Club, he could be seen sitting in watching a juvenile match as often as an adult match, & would regularly talk about the importance of juveniles. His niece & nephew, Elaine & Colm are also putting forward a player of the tournament award in his honour. And hopefully on Saturday there will be a crowd befitting to his memory. First match is at 2pm with the final scheduled for 5pm. Refreshments will be served all day. All needed now is a bit of sunshine to help enjoy this special day. All are very welcome.
