Moycarkey-Borris GAA Club Notes - April 22nd 2013

COUNTY TIPPERARY SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: We played Loughmore Castleiney in the 1st match of the Senior Championship. we were narrowly defeated but competed well. 

TAKE ME OUT: The club would like to thank all those who supported the take me out night held in Bannons last Saturday night, this night would not have been as successful but for the willingness of the participants to take part, Daniel Kirby for his excellent MC skills, and Norah Maher for organising the night. We would also like to thank all our sponsors on the night.

UNDER 8s

The Under 8 panel recently added Wednesday evening (7pm-8pm) sessions to their Saturday morning training session. The panel of 20 players have concentrated on Football in recent weeks complimented with Hurling. On Saturday last our two teams were away to Holycross in beautiful sunshine. On a windy and wet Wednesday last we played Moyne at home again with two teams. On the Wednesday previous we welcomed Drom & Inch to Littleton and played with one team each. Thanks to the coaches of our neighbouring clubs for their assistance in facilitating the football & hurling games and we are looking forward to the return fixtures over the coming weeks. 

CLUB GEAR: Club body warmers and track suit pants are currently in stock and available to buy from Catherine Gleeson.

MEMBERSHIP AND REGISTRATION: There are still a small number of players who have yet to pay their membership for 2013, this needs to be paid to John Kelly, Mary Shelly or Rita Clohessy, immediately.
