ANNUAL DINNER DANCE AND MEDAL PRESENTATION NIGHT:
The Club will be hold a medal presentation night for Hurling, Camogie, Football and Ladies Football in the Anner Hotel on Saturday 9th of February. Music on the night by the Doran Family, four course meal, tickets 20 euro each. Tickets available from Clohessy's Garage, Billy Lanigan Sally Duggan, or any committee member. Tickets need to be booked as soon as possible as there are a limited number of tickets still available.
MEMBERSHIP AND REGISTRATION:
Club membership and registration for 2013 is now open and can be paid to John Kelly, Mary Shelly or Rita Clohessy. Membership must be paid as soon as possible. Non player membership of 40 euro available to supporter, this membership includes text messaging for fixtures and general club information, please contact club officers if you are interested in supporters membership.
MID FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR:
The club would like to extend their congratulations to Kieran Morris who was awarded Mid Senior Footballer of the year. Kieran gave great displays during our intermediate football campaign this year and helped bring county honours to the club.
SCÓR NA BPÁISTI:
Moycarkey competed in six of the nine competitions in Mid Semi Final of scór na bPáisti in Clonmore last Sunday. The following groups and individuals will represent the club on Saturday next in Littleton in the Mid Final, Recitation, Roisin Donnelly, Seán nós dancing, Emma Dowling, and Novelty Act, Bill Hackett, Pat Hackett, Diarmuid Maher, Kevin Hayes, Kate Sheridan, Clodagh Fallon, Amy McGovern and Tasha Tully.
CHILD WELFARE AND PROTECTION:
Moycarkey Borris GAA Club have organised a Child Welfare & Protection in sport basic awareness training course to be held in the Clubrooms on Wednesday February 20th at 7.30pm. It is recommended that all coaches, parents and administrators who are involved with coaching children or clubs with juvenile membership attend this course. The course
covers the need for coaches to know not only the best practice for Child Protection regarding child safety and individual policy, but also how to protect themselves and the support networks that are available regarding the suspicion of abuse. The club would like to congratulate the Presentation Secondary school on their recent win in the Munster Schools Football Final and in particular would like to congratulate the following club players, Marianne Murphy, Michaela Graham, Laura Ralph, Katie Bergin, Claire Hassett and Meave Leahy.
Mouth guards have now become compulsory for all juvenile football players. Players must wear a mouth guard for all football training sessions and matches.
