Moycarkey-Borris GAA club notes - February 8th 2011

U21A Football: The first fixture of this year will take place on Saturday 12th of February against Holycross Ballycahill in Holycross @ 3.30pm. All support appreciated.

Medal Presentation & Dinner Dance: This years event was from last weekend deferred due to local bereavements, it is now being rescheduled for early March. Tickets can be got from the following: JJ Maher, Joe O Sullivan & Michael Clohessy.

Condolences: Condolences to the Fallon family on the very sad loss of Joe, our thoughts are wit them at this time. He will be greatly missed on the sidelines. Also our sympathies to the Hennessy family on the untimely death of liams brother David. May they both rest in peace.

Club Membership: All club membership must be in before the end of March to club registrar John Kelly, it is the same as last year. Adult (non playing) 30euro, adult(playing) 40euro, family (1 or 2 adults, children under16) , 60euro.

Munster Pro: The very best of luck to our past secretary and pro Ed Donnelly who has been nominated for Munster PRO.,

Scor Senior: Moycarkey will compete in this years Mid Scor final which will take place this Friday at 8.30 in Moyne. The club have acts in the following categories: Solo Song, Ballad Group, Novelty Act, Question time and Set Dancing. We wish all act the best of luck and thank all involved for their participation. All participants would appreciate support on the night.

Scor na bPaisti: The Mid Semi Final of Scor a bPaisti will take place in the Muintir na Tire Hall on 6th of March. For those interested in taking part a parish final will take place the last weekend in February. To be eligible to take part in Scor na bPaisti you must resident in the parish, and be of primary school age.
