Moycarkey-Borris GAA Club Notes - July 17th 2012

Senior Hurling: On Saturday evening last our senior hurlers took their silverware for County Senior Hurling League Final where they beat neighbouring rivals Holycross Ballycahill to take the title. Well done to all involved.

Cul Camp: Another successful Cul camp was run last week for u6s to u10s inc coordinated by Mary Shelly. Well done to Mary, Andy Ryan, Tonto Lanigan & their coaches for an enjoyable week with the kids.

Jimmy Leahy Testimonial: A great nights entertainment was had on Friday night last both on & off the pitch! Well done to all those that togged out & also to all those that went to support & offer words of wisdom!! Many speeches were made on night & a dvd of this will be for public showing at a later date... book ur seats! Many thanks to Richard Looby LC Tyres for his sponsorship of a dozen sliotars on the night, much appreciated.

County u15 & u16 footballers: Well done to Eric Fanning who represented our club on the u15 Tipperary team @ the weekend, who were successful in seeing off all opposition, also to Liam Lanigan, Chris Mc Cullagh & Niall Heffernan who represented the club on the u16 Tipperary team who weren’t as lucky on the day. It was an honour for all 4 and an achievement to be very proud of.

Annual Harry Ryan u16 hurling tournament: This Saturday 21st sees the second annual Harry Ryan tournament. Teams this year are Newport Ballinahinch, Clonoulty Rossmore, Toomevara, St Marys, Clonmel, Freshford & Moycarkey Borris. It begins @ 11.30am with final @ 2.30pm. All are welcome.
