Moycarkey-Borris GAA Club Notes - March 5th 2013

MEMBERSHIP AND REGISTRATION: Club membership and registration for 2013 is now open and can be paid to John Kelly, Mary Shelly or Rita Clohessy. Membership must be paid as soon as possible. Non player membership of 40 euro available to supporter, this membership includes text messaging for fixtures and general club information, please contact club officers if you are interested in supporters membership. All players must have membership paid prior to commencement of competitions. 

COUNTY SENIOR HURLING CHALLENGE CUP: Moycarkey-Borris were successful in their first match of the County Senior Hurling Challenge Cup beating Burgess on a scoreline of 2 20 to 19 points. Well done to all involved.

CLUB FINANCE MEETING: A meeting of the senior club finance committee will take place this Thursday night at 8.30 in the club rooms. Anyone who is interest in getting involved are welcome to attend.

JUVENILE MEETING: The next juvenile meeting will be held in the club rooms on Thursday March 14th at 9pm.

JUVENILE TRAINING: All juvenile groups are back training except the U6s who will return on Saturday 6th April. New members are welcome.

EASTER HURLING/FOOTBALL CAMP: There will be a three day camp in the hurling field from Tue 2nd April to Thur 4th April from 10 am to 1pm.It is open to all registered primary school boys and girls from 6 to 13 years of age. It will cost €20 per child and all children will receive a sliotar and football. If interested please contact Mary Shelly (086 3190653) asap.

ANNUAL CHURCH GATE COLLECTION: The Annual church gate collection took place last weekend in the parish churches. We would like to thank all those that supported the club.

CAMOGIE AND LADIES FOOTBALL: 8's to u14's are back training next Saturday at 12. The club is organising a cake sale on St. Patrick's Day. A meeting will be held next Monday the 11th in the dressing rooms at 8.15 and all parents are welcome to get involved and help out. A juvenile committee is also going to be setup if interested you welcome attend. 

SCOR: Well done to all acts that participated in The County Senior Semi Final. We congratulate the solo singer and ballad group on their success on the night and look forward to seeing them compete in the County Senior Scor Final which will be held in Templemore on the 16th of March.

MOUTH GUARDS: Mouth guards have now become compulsory for all juvenile football players. Players must wear a mouth guard for all football training sessions and matches. 

CLUB GEAR: Club body warmers and track suit pants are currently in stock and available to buy from Catherine Gleeson.
