Moycarkey-Borris GAA Club Notes - May 17th 2011

Senior Hurling: Last Saturday saw us bow out of Championship and now we are in the county 16 on a scoreline of 1 15 to 1 9.

Junior League div 2: Saturday evening also saw us qualify for the mid final in the league after winning against Moyne Templetuohy.

Junior League div 1:On Sunday evening we emerged winners after defeating Gortnahoe Glengoole, which sees us progress to the mid final also.

Intermediate Football: We play Holycross on Saturday evening,and Junior B's play Thurles Gaels on Sunday.time & venue TBC, Please check mid board fixtures.

County minor football: Best wishes to Niall O Sullivan who starts corner back on Wed evening in Semple Stadium against Kerry.

County board draw:

First draw of this years county board draw is on the 20th May & has a Star Prize of a new Skoda Superb and if you are the lucky winner and you don’t need a new car you can take € 30000 in cash instead.By joining the Draw for less than 2 euro per week with your local club, your are supporting your local club which retains 50% of the money and helps in a big way the finances and running of your local club. Many thanks and much appreciation to our loyal draw members for many years and we hope ye will be with us again for this new year along with any new members wishing to join. Please contact ur local promoter for methods of payment and once again we wish everyone the very best of luck! At this time when our club numbers are expanding, all sources of finance are needed.

Juveniles: Our u 10s travelled to na Piarsaigh in Limerick on Sunday, and after a busy day they came home with the Tommy Burchaell Memorial Cup, captain Darren Flood, well done to all involved!

U12s: This age group have also had a busy week, the 3 groups played the last round last wednesday night, where two teams went forward to the mid finals in Templetuohy last night and the ragg today monday, group 1 and group 3. Group 4 were narrowly beaten to progress. well done to all 3 groups who played so well in all league rounds. Group 3 were beaten last night, and are now in the county quarter final in Semple Stadium on Saturday,. Group 1 play tonight for either a place in the quarter or semi final on Saturday also. Best of luck to all involved.

U14'S: This group is also @ mid semi final stage, the A's play Durlas Og on wed 18th of May, and the C's play Moyne in Gortnahoe on thurs evening @ 7pm. Best of luck to both.

Super Camp:This year a Super Camp for 13-16 year olds will take place in Dr .Morris Park from August 3rd to 5th.The camp will run from 10am to 1.30pm for 3 days.Anyone interested please contact the juvenile secretary.

VHI Cul Camp:This years camp will take place from August 1st to August 5th and will run from 10am to 2.30pm each day.Application froms can be returned to the juvenile secretary ,any queries please contact 086 3190653.
