Moycarkey-Borris GAA Club Notes - May 31st 2011

Day out in the aviva stadium: Last Saturday 27 in total members, seniors & sixteens went to the aviva stadiumin Dublin for the day. It was a prize won by club member Seamus Morris at the Kilmacud 7's last September. It was run by the National Athlete Development Academy & the Sports Surgery Clinic, Dublin. A very interesting & engoyable day was had by all.

Junior League Div 2: On friday night last this match was played at the opening of Thurles Gaels newly renovated pitch. The hosts were the winners on the night. Moycarkey Borris gaa club would like to take this opportuinity to wish Thurles Gaels the best of luck in their new grounds.

Junior League Div 1: Friday night we play Thurles Sarsfields in the Mid final stage of the league in LIttleton @ 7.30pm. All support appreciated!

Fun Day: Mon 6th of June is going to be a fun filled day in our GAA field. it will include this years Parish League, bake sale, book sale etc. Also on the day we will have a sale of used, hurling & football boots, gear, helmets,hurleys. In these recessionary times, all bargains are appreciated. A lot of clearing out has been done in houses, and many thanks to those who have already left us bags. We will b collecting at any of the juvenile trainings this week also. Also on the day is a raffle, with generously sponsored spot prizes. In attendance will be Liam Mc Carthy , U21 Celtic Cross and guest appearances on the day.The day starts @ 1pm. All are welcome!
