Moycarkey Borris Camogie and Ladies Football Club Notes - May 19th 2015

Under 8 Camogie

On Saturday last Moycarkey Borris Under 8’s hosted their first Camogie blitz of the year with St. Mary’s, Clonmel and Fethard as the visiting clubs. Moycarkey had twenty girls so they entered two teams allowing for 3 matches each. There was great performances from all the girls and everyone had a fantastic time.

Under 12 Camogie

Our Under 12 Camogie team played Drom in the first round of their Camogie Summer League. Drom started well and with a goal and point before Moycarkey Borris scored their first point, leaving the half time score Drom 1-1 Moycarkey Borris 0-1. Early in the second half Drom scored their second goal and a further two points. While Moycarkey Borris played better and scoring two goals and a point to finish the game a point short. Drom 2-3 Moycarkey Borris 2-2.

Under 14 Ladies Football

Moycarkey Borris Under 14’s entered the Community Games Ladies Football and their first game was against Fethard in Littleton on Wednesday last. Fethard starting the scoring straight away and had scored two goals and a point in the first ten minutes. Moycarkey Borris replied with a point and a goal before half time. However, the second half was a different affair with Fethard the only scorers as Moycarkey-Borris bowed out of the Community Games Competition.

Following on from this the Under 14 team continued their Tipperary Ladies Football Championship hosting opponents Cappawhite in Littleton on Sunday evening last. The first half of the game was a tight affair with only two points separating the teams at half time, Cappawhite 2-2 Moycarkey Borris 1-3.

The second half was a different matter with Moycarkey Borris dominating throughout to take the victory, Moycarkey Borris 4-7 Cappawhite 2-4

Intermediate League Semi Final

Moycarkey Borris hosted Cahir in the Tipperary Ladies Football Intermediate League Semi Final on Saturday last. Cahir were the strong team on the day and took the League Final title the following day.
