Moycarkey Borris Strictly Come Dancing
The DVD launch night for Strictly Come Dancing will take place next Saturday night, April 23rd in Darmody's Bar, Littleton. Show starts at 9pm and DVD’s will be available for sale/order on the night.


County Senior Hurling Championship
Moycarkey Borris will play Carrick Swans in the County Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday, April 23rd in New Inn at 6.30pm. Following Carrick Swans victory over Moneygall last weekend, a win for Carrick Swan in this game will see them qualify for the last 16 so a Moycarkey-Borris victory will be important in this three team group.


County Intermediate Hurling Championship
Leahy Park, Cashel is the venue for Moycarkey Borris v Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun on Sunday, April 24th at 12 noon.


Mid Tipperary Minor A Football Championship
In the third round of the Mid Tipperary Minor A Football Championship Moycarkey Borris hosted JK Brackens on Thursday last. Moycarkey Borris and JK Brackens both had a win and defeat to date in the Championship. But this game was not to be Moycarkey's with the loss of some players JK Brackens proved too much for Moycarkey, JK Brackens 3-18 Moycarkey Borris 1-2

County Under 21 Football Championship Semi Final
Following on from Moycarkey’s recent success in the Mid Championship they earned themselves a Semi Final in the County Championship against Golden Kilfeacle in Clonmel Sportsfield on Saturday last. It was a very tightly contested first half with the ball flowing freely from end to end and scores were hard to come by. Both teams traded points throughout the half to go in at half time, Golden Kilfeacle 0-6 Moycarkey Borris 0-5

The second half opened with three points for Golden before Anthony McKelvey scored Moycarkey’s first point in the 40th minute. Golden scored another three points before Moycarkey registered their second point of the half. The final score of the game went to Anthony McKelvey when he netted the ball for Moycarkey which served to reduce the margin before the final whistle, Golden Kilfeacle 0-12 Moycarkey Borris 1-7

Senior Club Meeting
The next club meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at 9.00pm in the clubrooms.


Under 12
Moycarkey Borris’s two under 12's teams were away this week to Durlas Óg in Group 1 and Loughmore in Group 4. Both games were competitive but in both cases the opposition finished the stronger to record wins. Both teams have now qualified for the knock out stages. Group 1 will have a Semi Final on Tuesday, April 26th away against Holycross while Group 4 will have a quarter final at home on Tuesday, April 19th against Boherlahan at 7pm.


PPS Corn Aodh Uí Dhudha U15 A Final
Congratulations to Thurles CBS on winning the PPS Corn Aodh Uí Dhudha U15 A Final with Darren Flood, Moycarkey Borris scoring the winning point for them in Extra Time. Other Moycarkey players on the starting line-up included Max Hackett, Kevin Hayes, Peter Melbourne and Jack Morrissey.


Peadar Cummins Tournament
The Peadar Cummins Tournament was held on Saturday last in Borrisoleigh. Kyle Ryan and Kyle Shelly were the Moycarkey representatives and Noel McKelvey was a mentor for the Mid Tipperary team in a tournament won by West Tipperary.


Camogie and Ladies Football Club
Membership is now due for all members and forms are available from Helen Dowling or your manager.


Under 16’s
Our Under 16 Camogie team defeated Moyle Rovers in Littleton on Wednesday last. Moycarkey Borris team - Emma Shelly, Michaella McKelvey, Nicole Gleeson, Amy McGovern, Claire Ryan, Saoirse O’Meara, Jessica Hayes, Clodagh Fallon, Kate Sheridan, Emma Dowling, Dorrianne Kelly and Niamh Woodlock.


Under 12’s
Our Under 12 ladies football team commenced their Football Championship with a home game against the Raparees (combination of Upperchurch, Sean Treacys and Newport) on Sunday last. The Raparees were the stronger on the day with all girls playing well.
