Moycarkey Borris GAA Club Notes - 1st August 2016

Junior B Hurling

Moycarkey-Borris will meet Thurles Gaels in the Jim and Anne Kennedy Mid Tipperary Junior B Football Championship on Saturday, August 6th at 7pm in Littleton. On Saturday, August 13th they will host Moyne/Templetuohy at 7pm in the same competition.

  

Minor Hurling

Moycarkey-Borris defeated Loughmore Castleiney in the Mid Tipperary Minor A Hurling Championship on Wednesday last and will compete against JK Brackens on Wednesday, August 17th at 7pm in Páirc Shíleáin, Templemore.

 

Under 16

Commiserations to Moycarkey Borris Under 16 team who were defeated by Holycross/Ballycahill in the Mid Tipperary Under 16A Hurling Championship.

  

Under 13

On Saturday last an Under 13 team travelled to Lisdowney GAA Club to compete in an Under 13 Tournament. They competed very well on the day and qualified for the Shield Competition. They now look forward to a Shield Quarter Final Match next Saturday again in Lisdowney, best wishes to all involved.


Under 8

Well done to all our Under 8’s who travelled to Dr. Morris Park to play in an Under 8 Hurling Blitz. A great day was had by all.

  

Camogie and Ladies Football Club 

Tesco

Moycarkey Borris Camogie & Ladies Football Club have been selected as one of the sporting clubs in the Tesco Community Fund. Every time you shop in your local Tesco store in Thurles, you will receive a token of goodwill to place in the donation box of Moycarkey Borris. After six weeks, the number of tokens are counted and up to €1,000 is distributed proportionally between three local causes. The more tokens we enter the larger share of the donation we will receive. Please support.

  

Under 17 Ladies Football Blitz

On Saturday, July 23rd Moycarkey Borris Under 17 team travelled to Fethard Ladies Football Club to compete in the Bernadette Stocksborough Under 17 Tournament. Moycarkey Borris competed well in the round games and earned a place in the Final. However, they met a stronger Fethard in the Final.

Under 13 Summer League

On Thursday evening last our Under 13’s travelled to The Ragg Camogie Grounds to compete against Kilruane in the Tipperary Camogie Under 13 Summer League Semi Final. The girls did very well in a tight competitive game but Kilruane were victorious on the night.

 

Under 12 Ladies Football

Cahir were the hosts for the next round game in the Under 12 Tipperary Ladies Football Summer League. Moycarkey were the stronger team on the night defeating Cahir.

  

Under 10 Camogie

Moycarkey Borris Under 10 team hosted Thurles Camogie Club in a challenge match on Saturday last. Well done to all the girls who gave a great performance. Thanks to Thurles for travelling and giving us a very competitive challenge.


Camán to Croker

Best wishes to Moycarkey Borris Under 12 team who will travel to Croke Park on Monday, August 8th to compete in Camán to Croker Blitz. This is a big day for all involved and we hope they have a fun filled day.
