Moycarkey Borris GAA Club Notes - 8th August 2016

Junior B
On Saturday, August 13th Moycarkey-Borris will host Moyne/Templetuohy at 7pm in the Jim and Anne Kennedy Mid Tipperary Junior B Football Championship.

Commiserations to the Junior B Hurling team who were defeated Clonakenny on Monday, August 1st in the Thurles Wholesale Cash and Carry Mid Tipp Junior B Hurling Championship on a score line of Clonakenny 0-17 Moycarkey-Borris 1-8

Minor Hurling
Moycarkey-Borris will compete against JK Brackens on Wednesday, August 17th at 7pm in Páirc Shíleáin, Templemore in the Thurles Credit Union Mid Tipperary Minor A Hurling Championship.

Under 13
On Saturday last an Under 13 team travelled to Lisdowney GAA Club to compete in their 7’s Kilkenny Supporters Club Shield Quarter Final. Their opponents Tullogher GAA Club were the stronger on the day. Well done to all the players, mentors and parents who travelled to the Competition over the last two weekends.

County Board Draw
The fourth Tipperary GAA County Board Draw was held on Friday night last. Although Moycarkey Borris had no winners on the night the club would encourage all promoters to gather any outstanding monies and renew memberships for the Draw for 2016/2017. Thank you to all the members who support the County Board Draw and we look forward to your continued support.

Camogie and Ladies Football Club
Tesco
Moycarkey Borris Camogie & Ladies Football Club have been selected as one of the sporting clubs in the Tesco Community Fund. Every time you shop in your local Tesco store in Thurles, you will receive a token of goodwill to place in the donation box of Moycarkey Borris. After six weeks, the number of tokens are counted and up to €1,000 is distributed proportionally between three local causes. The more tokens we enter the larger share of the donation we will receive. Please support.

Minor Ladies Football
Congratulations to Moycarkey Borris Minor team who defeated Clonmel Og in the Tipperary Ladies Football Minor Championship.

Under 12 Ladies Football
Congratulations to Moycarkey Borris Under 12 team who defeated Moyle Rovers in the Tipperary Ladies Football Under 12 Summer League.

Under 10 Camogie
It was a busy week for our Under 10’s who travelled to Cashel on Tuesday, August 2nd for a camogie challenge. The following evening Wednesday, August 3rd they made their way to Cahir for another camogie challenge. On both evenings our team showed that their hard work at training is paying off. Thanks to Cashel and Cahir for hosting.
