Tipperary Water County Under 21 B Semi Final Championship
Next weekend Moycarkey Borris will contest Lorrha Dorrha GAA Club in the Tipperary Water County Under 21 B Final following their comprehensive victory over Cahir on Sunday last in Bansha.

The game opened with pointed frees being traded in the first two minutes of the game. Moycarkey Borris built on this when in the fourth minute JJ Darmody scored a point from a Rhys Shelly free. On the tenth minute Moycarkey added a further point from the side line ably taken by Tom Hayes. Brendan Donaghy kept Cahir close before Anthony McKelvey netted the ball for Moycarkey, when the free he hit lobbed over the Nicholas Reidy’s head in the net. As the quarter turned Anthony pointed another free to give Moycarkey a cushion of five points before an eighth minute period when the ball ebbed and flowed from end to end. In the twenty third minute Cahir’s Ryan Murphy pointed another free before Anthony McKelvey raised another green flag. Jack Fallon concluded Moycarkey Borris’s scoring for the first half before another two pointed frees by Ryan Murphy were added to Cahir’s. The half time score Moycarkey Borris 2-5 Cahir 0-5.

With the aid of the slight freezing cold breeze, Moycarkey Borris opened their second half scoring with a pointed free from Anthony McKelvey and a Kevin O’Regan point. In the thirty eighth minute Anthony McKelvey got his hat trick of goals. Ryan Murphy, Cahir replied with a pointed free before Anthony found the net for his fourth goal. Moycarkey had now stretched their margin to thirteen points. With another twenty minutes on the clock, Cahir had it all to do and were forced into giving away a number of frees. Moycarkey’s next four points were from Anthony McKelvey, all frees. JJ Darmody and Conor Cashman traded goals around the fifty fourth minute before Tom Hayes pointed. The final scores of the game were a hat trick of pointed frees for Tom Hayes as Moycarkey-Borris ran out 5-15 to 1-6 winners

Congratulations to Anthony McKelvey who was awarded the Mid Tipperary Young Hurler 2017.

Garda Cup Tournament
Congratulations to Mid Tipperary on winning the Garda Cup on Saturday last. Moycarkey Borris GAA Club were represented by Liam Hayes, Kyle Shelly and Kyle Ryan and Mentor Noel McKelvey.

Roger Ryan Tournament
Congratulations to Mid Tipperary who won the Shield Final of the Roger Ryan Tournament. Moycarkey Borris players Cathal Corcoran, Andrew Kavanagh and Cillian McDonagh were members of the panel.

Peadar Cummins Tournament
Commiserations to Mid Tipperary who were defeated by the West in the Peadar Cummins Tournament. Moycarkey Borris were represented by Joe Maher, Liam O’Meara and Stephen Walsh.

Moycarkey Borris Camogie and Ladies Football Club
Medal Presentation

Moycarkey Borris Camogie and Ladies Football Club held their medal presentation night on Sunday last in the Muintir na Tire Hall, Littleton. Maeve Corcoran, Chairperson of the Ladies Clubs welcomed and thanked everyone for coming. The Under 8’s were first to be presented with their medals by All Ireland Ladies Football Winner, Cathriona Walsh. The Under 10 and Under 12 teams received their medals from Paudie Maher, County Tipperary Senior Hurling Team captain. Our Under 14 who won the Tipperary Ladies Football League were presented with their medals on the day but there was a special mention for the team on the night. Cathriona Walsh concluded the presenting of the medals who the Under 17 got their medals from her. Cathriona received a presentation from the club on her All Ireland win. She thanked the club for all the support they had given her over the years and she was delighted to see the same people still involved in the club over the years. Paudie Maher was delighted to be welcomed by the club to present the medals to the girls and thrilled to see the silverware the club had on display. He encouraged all girls to stay playing and great fun doing so. The evening concluded with refreshments for everyone. Thanks to all players, parents and supporters who represent the club.

Christmas Market
Moycarkey-Borris Camogie and Ladies Football Club are delighted to host the Christmas Market in Moycarkey-Borris Community Centre, Littleton on Sunday, December 10th. The market will commence at 12pm until 3.30pm, this promises to be a great festive event with plenty on offer for young and old.
Your support for this fundraising event would be very much appreciated. All funds raised will go directly towards the upkeep and running of our club.
