Roadstone Mid Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship - Boherlahan Dualla 3-16 Moycarkey Borris 1-14

On Saturday last Moycarkey Borris and Boherlahan Dualla travelled to Holycross to compete in the Roadstone Mid Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship. A strong breeze blew through the ground and Moycarkey had the benefit of it in the first half. But it was Boherlahan’s Darragh Hickey who opened the scoring. Mossy Bracken equalised the following minute. Seamie Leahy, Boherlahan raised the green flag in the fifth minute and Robert Doran replied with a point. The deficit was extended further to five points when Paul Creed netted the ball. Moycarkey were dealt another blow when an off the ball tackle resulted in a red card for Jamie Fanning in the ninth minute. Phil Kelly settled Moycarkey with a point and in the following twenty minutes both teams traded seven points each, leaving the score at half time, Boherlahan Dualla 2-8 Moycarkey Borris 0-10

Mattie Ryan and Paul Creed traded points in the opening minutes but Brian Maher, Boherlahan added another on the fifth minute. Both sides traded a further two points each before Robert Doran netted the ball on the forty fifth bringing the sides to within two points of each other. Ciaran Clohessy pointed the following score and there was a single point between the sides, the closest they had been throughout the game. However, Darragh Hickey scored a Boherlahan goal in the 54th minute to put his side back in control. Boherlahan scored three more points in normal time and just as injury time commenced Ciaran Clohessy was issued his second yellow card and the side line. Boherlahan’s Seamie Leahy registered the final point to finish the game Boherlahan Dualla 3-16 Moycarkey Borris 1-14.
